These days, Filipino freelancers belong to the country’s top earners and Pinoy jobs category. A freelancer is an individual with no permanent employer or is not working under the supervision of a company. Usually, the job of a freelancer is per project basis or for a certain time only. Generally, they get much higher pay than regular employees.
And because freelancers are not working under a company, they are not also qualified with any government mandated benefits. They are not also subject to pay their taxes as they are not part of any registered company in the Philippines. Other persons working on their own gets and contributes their own Philippine Health Insurance (PhilHealth), Social Security System (SSS) and other government required benefits that regular businesses give.
